My passion for photography was awakened at an early age when travelling through Europe. After leaving school I started travelling further afield, including Australia, the USA, Japan, the Caribbean's and South America. My camera would definitely be one of my essential items on a deserted island.
Whilst travelling I always enjoyed capturing images of local people going about their everyday business. Once I had a family of my own I realised that the best pictures of children where those taken in their natural environment. My wonderful son provided me with ample opportunity to practice this style of photography and I soon realised that this approach worked for other types of portraiture as well as wedding shots. I studied for a City and Guilds photography qualification and when I was made redundant from an unfulfilling office job, I quickly decided to turn to photography.
